California Employment Law Counsel

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Counsel, Employment & Litigation.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of employment-related litigation, including wrongful termination and discrimination claims
• Provide day-to-day employment law counsel to the Human Resources department on various employment matters
• Draft, review, and update employment policies and documents to ensure compliance with California law

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with the State Bar of California
• A minimum of eight (8) years of employment law experience, focusing on California employment law
• Demonstrated litigation experience through all phases of litigation
• Deep knowledge of California-specific employment statutes and applicable federal employment laws
• Experience counseling business clients on employee relations matters
