Job Summary

To support the Clean Electricity team's efforts in accelerating clean energy investment, the full-time Analyst, Energy Transition, Clean Electricity will conduct research, track policy developments, and assist in advocacy strategies, with the option to work remotely or from the San Francisco office on a fixed-term contract basis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development of EDF's advocacy strategy for energy transition policies, including carbon markets and electric power sector decarbonization
  • Conduct in-house research and analysis of proposed regulations and legislation, and write white papers and policy memos for broader audiences
  • Engage with external stakeholders and represent EDF in key forums, while contributing to communications strategies that support advocacy goals
Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of relevant experience with an Associate's degree; a Bachelor's degree in a related field may substitute for up to 2 years of experience
  • Strong research, analytical, and writing skills, with the ability to synthesize technical information for policy audiences
  • Demonstrated interest in climate policy and environmental equity
  • Proactive organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong computer proficiency, including experience with Excel and Internet research
