Job Summary
Seeking an experienced California FHA DE Underwriter, the fully remote Reverse Mortgage Underwriter will review credit, asset, income, and collateral documentation to ensure compliance with HECM and Reverse Proprietary Product guidelines while making sound underwriting decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive reviews of loan files for compliance with company, investor, and FHA guidelines
- Analyze credit, income, asset, and collateral documentation to make informed underwriting decisions
- Communicate underwriting decisions and conditions clearly while collaborating with loan officers and processors
Required Qualifications
- Approved FHA DE (Direct Endorsement) Underwriter
- Experience underwriting HECM Purchase transactions
- Minimum of 3 years of Reverse Mortgage Underwriting experience
- Strong understanding of FHA, HECM, and Reverse Proprietary lending guidelines
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with mortgage operations teams
