California Finance Analyst

Job Summary

Providing specialized finance and grants management support, the full-time California Finance Analyst will manage financial analysis, reporting, and compliance while collaborating with program teams to advance conservation outcomes, with the flexibility to work from home or an office location within California.

Key responsibilities

• Manage financial and accounting activities in accordance with organizational policies and best practices
• Provide guidance and support for complex financial and grants-related questions to program teams
• Conduct financial analysis and reporting, ensuring compliance with grant accounting and regulatory requirements

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field, with 4 years of relevant experience
• Experience with financial analysis tools and grant accounting compliance
• Familiarity with U.S. Federal Uniform Guidance and state/local regulations related to grants
• Proficiency in accounting and financial reporting systems
• Experience working effectively in a collaborative environment with multidisciplinary teams
