Job Summary
Managing state-specific lobbying campaigns, the full-time California Government Affairs Lead will oversee external lobbyists, develop relationships with state officials, and deliver actionable intelligence while working remotely across the United States.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the primary accountability manager for external lobbyists, setting performance expectations and conducting regular assessments
- Translate corporate policy positions into tailored advocacy messaging for state-specific political environments
- Develop and maintain relationships with state legislators and regulatory bodies relevant to social gaming and consumer protection
Required qualifications
- 7-12+ years of experience in state government affairs, lobbying, or legislative affairs
- Demonstrated experience managing external vendors or consultants against defined performance standards
- Working knowledge of gaming regulation, sweepstakes law, or consumer protection policies
- Established relationships with key government officials in the assigned regional portfolio
- Experience in multi-state lobbying roles within fast-moving industries such as technology or gaming
