California Grants Associate

Job Summary

Joining a collaborative grants team, the full-time California Grants Associate will research, write, and coordinate high-quality grant proposals while managing systems for information organization and conducting prospect research, all in a remote capacity within California.

Key responsibilities

• Gather, write, edit, and submit high-quality grant proposals and competitive contract bids that align with funder priorities
• Coordinate with internal and external partners to identify funding opportunities and develop timelines for grant applications
• Research and track current and future grant opportunities, summarizing and promoting them internally as appropriate

Required qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of work experience with demonstrated success in grant writing
• Two to three (2-3) years of experience in submitting successful philanthropic or government grant proposals
• Experience in an education or non-profit environment preferred
• Familiarity with Salesforce, Asana, and other digital tools for collaborative work
• Commitment to mission-driven work with a focus on equity and community impact
