Job Summary

Managing the Hazardous Waste (HW) Program for the U.S. Army Reserve 63d Readiness Division, the full-time remote Hazardous Waste Program Manager will oversee contract deliverables, ensure regulatory compliance, and coordinate waste disposal activities while collaborating with government personnel.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the execution of the HW contract scope of work, ensuring quality standards and schedules are met
• Coordinate HW disposal activities with contractors and ensure compliance with EPA regulations
• Prepare compliance reports and provide technical assistance to waste-generating activities and leadership

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science or a related field
• 5-7 years of environmental compliance experience
• DoD Approved HW Manifest and DOT Hazardous Materials Certification (49 CFR)
• California Hazardous Waste Management Training covering relevant federal and state regulations
• Proficiency in MS Windows OS applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
