Job Summary
Managing the Hazardous Waste (HW) Program for the U.S. Army Reserve 63d Readiness Division, the full-time remote Hazardous Waste Program Manager will oversee contract deliverables, ensure regulatory compliance, and coordinate waste disposal activities while collaborating with government personnel.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee the execution of the HW contract scope of work, ensuring quality standards and schedules are met
- Coordinate HW disposal activities with contractors and ensure compliance with EPA regulations
- Prepare compliance reports and provide technical assistance to waste-generating activities and leadership
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science or a related field
- 5-7 years of environmental compliance experience
- DoD Approved HW Manifest and DOT Hazardous Materials Certification (49 CFR)
- California Hazardous Waste Management Training covering relevant federal and state regulations
- Proficiency in MS Windows OS applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
