California HIM Technician

Job Summary

Coordinating the availability of medical records, the remote per diem California HIM Technician will analyze records, assist in filing documents, and ensure the completion of discharge processes while managing sensitive information.

Key responsibilities

• Reviews incomplete discharge lists and assists in resolving issues to ensure timely completion of records
• Analyzes physician records for missing items and coordinates with departments to facilitate chart completion
• Maintains organized filing of medical records and ensures a clean workspace for physicians

Required qualifications

• High School Education/GED or equivalent is required
• Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience is preferred
• Two years of healthcare experience is preferred
