Job Summary
Overseeing end-to-end human resources functions for a multi-state workforce, the full-time California HR Manager will manage compliance, talent acquisition, and employee engagement initiatives while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the primary HR contact, providing guidance on policies and employee relations while ensuring compliance with California and federal laws
- Lead strategic workforce planning and manage onboarding and offboarding processes to enhance employee experience across a distributed team
- Administer benefit programs and oversee compensation actions, ensuring clarity and compliance in employee communications
Required qualifications
- 5-7+ years of progressive HR generalist/manager experience, preferably in government contracting
- Strong expertise in California employment law is required
- Experience supporting dispersed/remote workforces across multiple states
- Proficiency in Unanet and Paycom systems
- Demonstrated ability to streamline onboarding and offboarding workflows
