California IT Security Analyst

Job Summary

To support the public health sector, the part-time IT Security/Infrastructure Support Analyst will review project plans, assess enterprise architecture, and provide recommendations on system architecture deliverables while working remotely with occasional onsite meetings in the Sacramento area.

Key responsibilities

• Review and evaluate project plans, designs, and technical artifacts for compliance with industry standards
• Assess security architecture and infrastructure components, including cloud and on-premise systems
• Monitor processes and system performance to ensure operational excellence and compliance

Required qualifications

• Minimum of five years of experience in complex enterprise hardware, network, or cloud infrastructure environments
• Proven ability to evaluate IT infrastructure design effectiveness and security posture
• Experience providing technical oversight for projects utilizing service bus technology such as AWS EventBridge or Oracle ESB
• Knowledge of system security plans aligned with standards like NIST, MARS-E, HIPAA, and MITA
• Experience with cloud data platforms like AWS Aurora or Oracle hardware platforms
