Job Summary
Managing the full lifecycle of leave of absence cases, the full-time California Leave of Absence Specialist will serve as a subject matter expert, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and maintaining thorough documentation in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee leave of absence, disability, accommodation, and workers' compensation cases for assigned regions
- Communicate status updates and next steps to employees and managers while ensuring timely case updates
- Collaborate with HR Business Partners and vendors to develop appropriate return-to-work plans
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience managing leave of absence cases in a high-volume, multi-state environment
- Working knowledge of federal and state leave regulations including FMLA and ADA
- Experience using a leave management system and HRIS platforms preferred
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
