Job Summary
Supporting a team of attorneys, the full-time remote California Legal Secretary will manage court filings, maintain organized files, and draft legal documents while ensuring compliance with client-specific billing guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Performs court filings, prepares pleadings, and manages document organization
- Drafts standard pleadings and correspondence while reviewing and proofreading documents for accuracy
- Coordinates meetings and maintains attorney-specific case lists and deadlines
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of five years of experience as a legal secretary
- Experience with state and federal court filing procedures in California
- Proficiency in legal terminology and legal document preparation
- Strong computer skills, including MS Office and document management systems
- Typing speed of 65+ wpm
