California Licensed Accountant II

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Accountant II to assist with month-end and quarter-end close in a remote, part-time role.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, prepare, test, and maintain documentation to support monthly accruals
• Apply GAAP accounting requirements to ensure proper recording and substantiation of accounting entries
• Collaborate with Requestor and Financial Analyst communities to prepare monthly accruals and assist in cross-training

Required Qualifications

• BA/BS in Accounting/Finance strongly preferred
• 3-4+ years of relevant experience in accounting, purchasing, and/or accounts payable
• Understanding of accrual accounting concepts
• Experience with automated accounts payable and purchasing systems; Oracle experience is a plus
• Strong experience with Excel and Word
