California Licensed Accounting Director

Job Summary

Leading the general accounting function, the hybrid California Licensed Accounting Director will supervise a team responsible for general ledger accounting, manage the financial close process, and ensure the integrity of financial reporting while collaborating with various internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the general accounting team, overseeing general ledger accounting, consolidations, and accounts payable
• Lead the financial close process, preparing internal financial statements and management reporting metrics
• Evaluate and implement strategies to improve efficiencies in the accounting close process

Required qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible accounting experience, including management of accounting for a multi-entity company
• Experience with a Big 4 or other national/regional accounting firm preferred
• Renewables industry experience is a plus
• Strong people management skills with a track record of developing talent into senior roles
• Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting with CPA license
