Job Summary
Providing episodic care to patients in acute crisis, the full-time California Licensed Acute Care Psychiatrist will work remotely during overnight shifts to evaluate and treat individuals across various emergency settings while collaborating with onsite professionals.
Key responsibilities
- Simultaneously serving multiple emergency rooms and psychiatric crisis programs to evaluate and treat patients in crisis
- Directing and implementing psychotherapeutic treatments and prescribing medication for mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders
- Utilizing a collaborative care approach with healthcare treatment teams to ensure effective patient care
Required qualifications
- Board-certified or board-eligible Psychiatrist with unrestricted, independent licensure
- Experience providing psychiatric care to all age groups in acute crisis settings
- Established and updated CAQH and FCVS profiles
- Advanced technical proficiency in telehealth and multiple EMRs
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients from diverse backgrounds, providing culturally competent care
