Job Summary
To support aspiring urban educators, the part-time California Licensed Adjunct Faculty for SSTE 527-02, Preparation for Teacher Performance Assessment, will facilitate an online course during January 2027, focusing on the requirements of the CalTPA Teaching Event and fostering a professional learning community.
Key responsibilities
- Facilitate online course sessions on specified Mondays and Wednesdays, guiding students through the Teacher Performance Assessment preparation
- Assist students in understanding CalTPA requirements and developing their competencies for Single Subject teaching credentials
- Encourage participation in a professional learning community to enhance pedagogical self-study and development
Required qualifications
- Master's Degree in Education, Subject Matter, or related field
- 5+ years of teaching experience in K-12 settings, preferably in urban environments
- Experience in supporting teacher candidates through clinical practice, student teaching, or mentoring
- Knowledge of California Teaching Performance Assessment (CalTPA) requirements and evaluation processes
- Familiarity with Teaching Performance Expectations (TPEs) and their application in classroom practice
