Job Summary
To support the Special Education program, the part-time California Licensed Adjunct Faculty - SPED will teach the course SPED 493-01/593-01 on Educational & Assistive Technology for Mild/Moderate Disabilities remotely during January Term 2027, focusing on utilizing computer-based technology and assistive tools to enhance learning for students with disabilities.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver course content focused on educational and assistive technology for students with mild/moderate disabilities
- Facilitate online classes on specified Mondays and Tuesdays throughout January 2027
- Guide candidates in the effective use of technology for teaching, learning, and assessment in K-12 settings
Required qualifications
- Master's Degree in Special Education or a related field
- Five years of experience as a mild/moderate education specialist or in a related position in K-12 settings
- Experience with computer-based technology for information collection, analysis, and management in instructional settings
- Knowledge of assistive technology, including low and high equipment and materials
- Familiarity with formal and informal assessment instruments and techniques used in K-12 settings
