California Licensed Alcohol Counselor

Job Summary

To support members in reducing or eliminating alcohol use, the part-time California Licensed Alcohol Counselor will provide coaching, develop individualized care plans, and facilitate evidence-based interventions in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate new members and formulate individualized care plans through standardized intake processes
• Facilitate individual coaching sessions via video/phone calls and app-based communication channels
• Monitor health outcomes and manage a caseload of members, ensuring coordination of care and case management services

Required qualifications

• Certification as an alcohol and drug counselor or equivalent credentials recognized by IC&RC
• 3-5 years of experience in alcohol use disorder or addiction treatment
• BA/BS and/or MA preferred
• Experience with EMR systems and telehealth platforms
• Knowledgeable in evidence-based treatment programs and harm reduction models
