California Licensed Alcohol Counselor

Job Summary

To support members in reducing or eliminating alcohol use, the part-time California Licensed Alcohol Counselor will provide individualized coaching, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and utilize technology platforms to monitor health outcomes in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate new members and formulate individualized care plans through standardized intake
• Facilitate individual coaching sessions and manage a caseload while monitoring health outcomes
• Collaborate with medical staff and develop evidence-based interventions to support pharmacotherapy and promote positive health outcomes

Required qualifications

• Certification as an alcohol and drug counselor or equivalent, recognized by IC&RC
• 3-5 years of experience in alcohol use disorder or addiction treatment
• BA/BS or MA preferred, with a background in addiction treatment/services
• Experience with EMR systems and telehealth applications
• Knowledge of evidence-based treatment programs and harm reduction models
