Job Summary
Working fully remote, the California Licensed AR Specialist will manage day-to-day payment resolution activities, including analyzing and appealing denials, ensuring timely reimbursement, and collaborating with clinical departments to resolve issues.
Key responsibilities
- Analyze, research, and resolve payment delays and variances from denied claims
- Coordinate with clinical departments and stakeholders to support appeals and resolve authorization issues
- Monitor and ensure compliance with California-specific timely filing limits for claims submission
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or Associate degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in revenue cycle medical billing, insurance follow-up, and denial management
- Familiarity with CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Experience in a complex, multi-site environment within California healthcare systems preferred
