Job Summary
Overseeing the organization's financial operations, the full-time California Licensed Assistant Controller will ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial reporting, accounts payable and receivable, and budget preparation while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Direct and manage all accounting functions and staff to achieve annual goals and long-term strategic plans
- Develop and oversee financial reporting processes, driving continuous improvement in accuracy and efficiency
- Collaborate with leadership to optimize ERP system usage and provide financial insights to enhance overall performance
Required qualifications
- 4 - 6 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, with 3-5 years in a leadership role
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
- Public accounting experience and CPA or equivalent preferred
- Strong project management skills and mastery of advanced Excel
- Experience in a privately owned business is desirable but not required
