Job Summary
Reporting to the Vice President and Controller, the full-time California Licensed Assistant Controller will manage accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance for Stanford Medicine Children's Health, while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders and overseeing the implementation of financial systems, with the option for remote work.
Key responsibilities
- Directs accounting and reporting functions, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting and compliance with GAAP
- Manages multiple teams to achieve financial goals, prepares fiscal reports, and develops annual operating budgets
- Oversees the coordination of audits and ensures proper maintenance of financial records and internal controls
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a work-related field from an accredited college or university
- Seven (7) years of progressively responsible work experience in accounting or finance
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
- Demonstrated expertise in financial regulatory requirements and financial reporting
- Proven ability to lead and manage teams effectively
