Job Summary

To ensure proper coding guidelines are met and maximize reimbursement, the full-time California Licensed Associate Coder will work remotely, focusing on coding knowledge and data entry in a healthcare setting.

Key responsibilities

• Review and apply coding guidelines to ensure accurate coding for reimbursement
• Conduct chart audits to verify coding accuracy and compliance
• Utilize medical terminology and coding systems (CPT, ICD-9, HCPCS) in daily tasks

Required qualifications

• 2 years of coding knowledge and experience with CPT, ICD-9, and HCPCS
• Experience in ambulatory or acute care professional coding
• Proficiency in data entry and medical terminology
• Experience with chart auditing
• Background in an Ambulatory Medical Office or Acute Care Facility
