California Licensed Associate Counsel

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Associate Counsel - Product and Privacy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide legal support and strategic advice on product development and compliance with global privacy regulations
• Support the negotiation of commercial agreements and advise on privacy-related contract provisions
• Lead privacy impact assessments and develop privacy policies to ensure compliance with evolving standards

Qualifications and Requirements:

• J.D. or equivalent legal degree from an accredited law school
• Member in good standing of a state bar (preferably California or Texas)
• 5+ years of experience in privacy, product counseling, or technology law, with at least 2 years focused on privacy compliance
• Experience advising on global privacy frameworks (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, LGPD)
• Strong contract negotiation and drafting skills for data processing agreements and vendor contracts
