California Licensed Associate Counsel

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Associate Counsel to support its legal team in commercial, regulatory, and operational matters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, and negotiate various commercial agreements
• Advise on regulatory compliance across cannabis markets in California, Nevada, and New York
• Support corporate governance and manage outside counsel relationships

Required Qualifications:

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar admission (California preferred)
• 2-5 years of legal experience in a law firm and/or in-house, with exposure to commercial contracts and regulatory matters
• Experience in regulated industries such as cannabis, alcohol & beverage, or agriculture is a plus
• Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously
• High ownership mindset with a collaborative approach to legal work
