California Licensed Associate Counsel

Job Summary

Advising on a broad range of legal issues, the full-time California Licensed Associate Counsel will review, draft, and negotiate various agreements while collaborating with business units and providing practical legal advice in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Review, draft, and negotiate master services agreements, vendor agreements, and other commercial transactional agreements
• Provide business-centric legal advice and collaborate with stakeholders on key commercial requirements
• Advise on privacy and security laws, coordinating with external counsel as necessary

Required qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school
• Member in good standing of at least one State Bar or the District of Columbia State Bar
• Two or more years of related work experience in contract review and negotiation
• Experience with privacy and data protection laws and regulations
• Experience in another applicable specialist area of law, such as healthcare or insurance
