Job Summary
Seeking a pragmatic, solution-oriented California Licensed Associate Counsel, the full-time remote position will oversee employment and general litigation matters across the Americas, providing legal guidance on various employment-related issues while managing a small team of in-house counsel and legal operations professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice on employment law issues, focusing on California laws and compliance risks
- Supervise outside counsel regarding employment litigation and manage internal policies and governance frameworks
- Oversee legal operations, including matter management, legal technology, and budget management across the Americas
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor degree and member in good standing of a State Bar or the District of Columbia
- 10-15+ years of employment and litigation experience, with a preference for in-house and law firm exposure
- California wage and hour / PAGA experience required
- Prior experience managing and developing a team of attorneys and/or legal professionals
- Strong knowledge of labor and employment laws and regulations across various geographies
