Job Summary

Providing strategic leadership and oversight, the full-time California Licensed Associate Director will manage the Conflicts Special Projects and Client Agreements functions, ensuring effective governance and risk mitigation while collaborating with various departments to support business intake and client agreements, with the option to work remotely or from any office location.

Key responsibilities
  • Direct and oversee procedures for acceptance, review, negotiation, and documentation of Outside Counsel Guidelines
  • Coordinate with multiple teams to manage engagement letters and client agreements documentation
  • Supervise the Client Agreements Manager and Senior Conflicts Manager, ensuring alignment with firm risk tolerance and policy
Required qualifications
  • JD degree required with an active bar license
  • Three or more years of experience managing, drafting, negotiating, and/or reviewing engagement letters and/or Outside Counsel Guidelines
  • Seven years of conflicts experience, including at least two years of supervisory experience preferred
  • Deep understanding of legal ethics and conflicts of interest rules
  • Demonstrated knowledge of conflicts software and corporate research databases preferred
