California Licensed Associate General Counsel

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Associate General Counsel.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal support for corporate development activities, including mergers and acquisitions
• Serve as the primary legal contact for employment-related matters and advise on compliance with employment laws
• Oversee the drafting and negotiation of commercial agreements and manage litigation and dispute resolution

Required Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Significant progressive legal experience in corporate transactions, employment law, commercial contracting, and litigation management
• Experience advising senior leaders on complex legal matters
• Prior in-house experience and managing outside counsel strongly preferred
• Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction (California preferred or ability to obtain)
