California Licensed Associate General Counsel
Job Summary
Seeking a California Licensed Associate General Counsel, the full-time remote position will manage commercial legal matters, focusing on ad tech integration, privacy compliance, and complex agreements while providing strategic legal guidance across the organization.
Key responsibilities
- Support and advise on commercial legal matters related to ad tech, third-party data licensing, and privacy issues
- Draft and negotiate complex client and vendor agreements, including master services agreements and NDAs
- Proactively manage legal requests and coordinate with lead counsel to align legal and business objectives
Required qualifications
- JD from an accredited law school and a license to practice law in at least one state, preferably California, New York, or Massachusetts
- 6+ years of relevant work experience in a law firm or in-house setting, preferably in advertising, marketing, or technology
- Expertise in U.S. state and federal privacy laws, SaaS product licensing, and commercial agreements
- Conversational acumen across business functions, including marketing and finance
- Experience with HIPAA/HITECH and intellectual property matters is preferred
