Job Summary
To support a large insurance company, a California Licensed Attorney will work remotely on a contract basis for 6 months, focusing on representing the company and its policyholders in moderately complex workers' compensation claims.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and revise legal strategies for discovery, investigation, and trial/hearing of cases
- Conduct necessary legal proceedings including hearings, trials, and depositions
- Research applicable law and draft legal documents, providing clear legal opinions to clients and claims representatives
Required qualifications
- Completion of law school with LLB or JD and admission to the California bar
- Minimum of 1 year of successful experience as an attorney
- General knowledge of insurance law and understanding of insured clients' operations
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience appropriate to the level of cases handled
