California Licensed Attorney

Job Summary

To support a large insurance company, a California Licensed Attorney will work remotely on a contract basis for 6 months, focusing on representing the company and its policyholders in moderately complex workers' compensation claims.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and revise legal strategies for discovery, investigation, and trial/hearing of cases
• Conduct necessary legal proceedings including hearings, trials, and depositions
• Research applicable law and draft legal documents, providing clear legal opinions to clients and claims representatives

Required qualifications

• Completion of law school with LLB or JD and admission to the California bar
• Minimum of 1 year of successful experience as an attorney
• General knowledge of insurance law and understanding of insured clients' operations
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Experience appropriate to the level of cases handled
