Job Summary
To support the healthcare revenue cycle, the full-time California Licensed Audit Professional will be responsible for auditing inpatient facility coding, training coding staff, and ensuring compliance with documentation standards while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Review and audit inpatient facility coding to ensure compliance and accuracy
- Train coding staff and educate workforce members on proper coding and documentation practices
- Oversee the generation and approval of coding queries to maintain data integrity and quality
Required qualifications
- Seven years of related auditing experience in a large academic hospital system, or a Bachelor's Degree plus three years of relevant experience
- Proven knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle operations, including billing and collections
- Current credentials as RHIT, RHIA, CCS, or a combination thereof
- Minimum of three years of inpatient facility auditing experience
- Experience with ICD-10 and query identification and monitoring
