Job Summary
Providing critical support for individuals in crisis, the part-time California Licensed Behavioral Health Advocate will conduct behavioral health screenings, triage calls, and deliver crisis intervention services remotely for the County of San Diego's 24/7 Access and Crisis Line.
Key responsibilities
- Quickly establish emotional connections and conduct behavioral health screenings to determine appropriate levels of care
- Provide crisis intervention and support, ensuring safety and de-escalation of individuals in distress
- Document all interactions and maintain compliance with clinical service requirements and performance goals
Required qualifications
- Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related behavioral health discipline with an independent behavioral health license
- Active and clear California License: LMFT, LCSW, LPC, RN, or Psychologist, with no probation or pending corrective actions
- At least 2 years of post-graduate experience providing direct clinical services
- Experience working with diverse populations and a range of psychological disorders and addictions
- Proficiency in PC usage with a typing speed of at least 45 words per minute
