California Licensed Benefits Specialist

Job Summary

To support a growing practice, the remote contract California Licensed Benefits Specialist will lead assessments for retiree Health & Welfare benefit plans, ensure compliance with ERISA regulations, and analyze complex datasets for regulatory filings.

Key responsibilities

• Lead assessments for retiree Health & Welfare benefit plans, including documentation and compliance initiatives
• Analyze and prepare large datasets for regulatory filings and support the development of Summary Material Modifications
• Oversee retiree benefits administration and manage multiple high-priority projects in a fast-paced environment

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher (Master's preferred)
• 10+ years of experience in Benefits or Human Resources
• Strong expertise in ERISA compliance and regulatory reporting for Health & Welfare retirement benefits
• Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects under tight deadlines
• Advanced proficiency with Oracle/HCM systems and Excel for database analysis
