California Licensed Billing Analyst

Job Summary

Owning the end-to-end revenue cycle for Clubhouse Services claims, the full-time California Licensed Billing Analyst will prepare and submit claims, manage eligibility and denials, and ensure compliance with billing standards while working remotely within California.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, scrub, and submit daily bundled rate claims for Clubhouse Services in accordance with County and DHCS requirements
• Verify MediCal eligibility and coordinate resolution of discrepancies with program staff and County BHS
• Work on claim denials and perform root cause analysis, ensuring timely corrections and reconciliations

Required qualifications

• 3+ years of medical billing experience, with at least 1 year in behavioral health or MediCal billing
• Working knowledge of MediCal eligibility verification and claim adjudication processes
• Experience with an EHR/practice management system used for behavioral health claims
• Strong Excel skills for reconciliation and reporting
• High school diploma or GED required
