California Licensed Billing Specialist

Job Summary

Assisting in the management of claims billing and payment for multiple facilities, the full-time California Licensed Billing Specialist will ensure accurate claim submissions to various payers, follow up on outstanding claims, and maintain adherence to billing regulations while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Submit claims accurately and timely for Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF) to all payers, including Medicare and Medicaid
• Post payments and ensure timely payment from all payers while resolving billing discrepancies
• Provide assistance to other staff for training and claim resolution, while meeting performance goals

Required qualifications

• Associates Degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; HS diploma or GED required
• At least 1 year of SNF billing experience
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and Managed Care Insurances, as well as SNF billing regulations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; PointClickCare experience preferred
• Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines while achieving performance goals
