Job Summary
Seeking a California Licensed Bookkeeper, the part-time independent contractor will manage day-to-day financial operations for a nonprofit organization, working remotely and committing approximately 15-20 hours per month.
Key responsibilities
- Participate in onboarding reviews and suggest improvements to financial processes
- Process accounts payable and receivable, execute payroll operations, and maintain accurate books in QuickBooks
- Deliver monthly financial reports and proactively address discrepancies or compliance deadlines
Required qualifications
- Demonstrated experience managing books in QuickBooks for a nonprofit, including payroll and reconciliation
- Proficiency with cloud-based financial tools, specifically QuickBooks Online
- Experience tracking restricted and unrestricted funds in compliance with grant requirements
- Ability to work independently with reliable availability and proactive communication
- Experience working with nonprofit clients and references required, including at least one nonprofit
