California Licensed Cancer Registrar

Job Summary

To support ongoing cancer research and patient care, the part-time California Licensed Cancer Registrar will collect and document data on malignancies, ensuring compliance with reporting guidelines while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Review reports from various medical departments to identify new cases of malignant disease
• Abstract and enter patient data in compliance with state and ACoS reporting guidelines
• Provide follow-up information for external requests and assist in data retrieval for research projects

Required qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Post High School Vocational/Specialized Training
• Two years in an allied health profession with at least one year as a Cancer Registrar or completion of the Cancer Information Management program
• Working knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical records operations
• Current certification by the National Cancer Registrars Association or ability to obtain CTR certification within one year of employment
