Job Summary
A company is looking for a Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI) Specialist who will review clinical documentation for accuracy and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct concurrent and retrospective reviews of medical records to identify documentation gaps and ensure compliance with coding standards
- Initiate provider queries and educate on best documentation practices to enhance clarity
- Support quality reporting measures and maintain audit-ready documentation practices
Required Qualifications:
- Active RN, MD, DO, or International Medical Graduate (IMG) license/credential
- 2+ years of recent clinical and/or acute care experience
- 1+ years of Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI) experience
- Advanced knowledge of ICD 10 CM coding, MS DRGs, SOI/ROM, and quality indicators
- Familiarity with EHR systems and knowledge of AHIMA/ACDIS compliant query practices
