Job Summary

Providing crisis intervention and emotional support, the part-time California Licensed Chat Counselor will offer services via chat and text, completing risk assessments and safety planning while working remotely with flexible scheduling options to meet program needs.

Key responsibilities

• Offers crisis-counseling services through chat and text interactions
• Completes risk assessments, safety planning, and follow-up with visitors
• Maintains accurate documentation of interactions in real time

Required qualifications

• Minimum of six months of relevant behavioral health experience, with one year in crisis intervention preferred
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence
• Ability to effectively use web-based platforms and electronic documentation systems
• Open availability and flexibility to work within the program's operating hours, including weekends and holidays
