Job Summary

Providing crisis intervention and emotional support, the part-time California Licensed Chat Counselor will offer assistance via chat and text services, working remotely for 20 hours per week from Wednesday to Sunday, while completing necessary training and maintaining high-quality standards in all interactions.

Key responsibilities

• Offers crisis-counseling services via chat and text
• Completes risk assessments, safety planning, and follow-up with visitors
• Maintains accurate documentation of interactions in real time

Required qualifications

• Minimum of six months of relevant behavioral health experience; one year in crisis intervention or suicide prevention preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong interpersonal skills with a high level of emotional intelligence
• Ability to effectively use web-based platforms and electronic documentation systems
• Open availability to work within program operating hours, including weekends and holidays
