Job Summary
Seeking a full-time California Licensed Claim Examiner, the Senior Claim Examiner will manage complex Defense Base Act (DBA) and Longshore Workers' Compensation claims, utilizing independent judgment to ensure fair and timely outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Interprets policy coverages and makes decisions on complex claims
- Manages investigative activities and directs litigation strategies in collaboration with legal counsel
- Analyzes claims activity, prepares reports, and establishes reserves while ensuring timely claim settlements
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; industry designations preferred
- 4-8 years of technical claims investigations and settling experience
- California Workers Compensation (WC) Adjuster License required
- Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
