Job Summary

Managing complex claims with minimal supervision, the full-time California Licensed Claim Examiner will investigate, settle, and analyze large loss claims while mentoring new hires and collaborating with legal counsel.

Key responsibilities
  • Interprets complex policy coverages and determines liability for claims
  • Manages investigative activities and directs litigation strategy for complex claims
  • Establishes reserves and authorizes payments, ensuring timely claim settlements
Required qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; industry designations preferred
  • 4-8 years of technical claims investigation and settlement experience
  • Workers Compensation (WC) Adjuster License required according to jurisdictional requirements
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects
  • Strong analytical skills with effective interpersonal abilities to interact with clients
