Job Summary
Managing complex claims with minimal supervision, the full-time California Licensed Claim Examiner will investigate, settle, and analyze large loss claims while mentoring new hires and collaborating with legal counsel.
Key responsibilities
- Interprets complex policy coverages and determines liability for claims
- Manages investigative activities and directs litigation strategy for complex claims
- Establishes reserves and authorizes payments, ensuring timely claim settlements
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; industry designations preferred
- 4-8 years of technical claims investigation and settlement experience
- Workers Compensation (WC) Adjuster License required according to jurisdictional requirements
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects
- Strong analytical skills with effective interpersonal abilities to interact with clients
