California Licensed Claim Examiner

Job Summary

Investigating and settling moderate difficulty claims, the full-time California Licensed Claim Examiner will evaluate, negotiate, and take appropriate actions to positively impact profitability under general supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Receives claim assignments, confirms policy coverages, and directs acknowledgment of claims
• Evaluates and negotiates claims to achieve equitable settlements
• Implements actions to enhance profitability and efficiency in claims processing

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
• 1-3 years of comprehensive claims investigations/settling experience in a similar organization
• Ability to work independently while assimilating various technical subjects
• Demonstrated ability to gather and analyze information and determine appropriate actions
• Effective interpersonal skills for dealing with external sources and all employee levels
