Job Summary
Managing professional and general liability claims, the full-time California Licensed Claims Associate will investigate, resolve, and oversee litigation processes while coordinating with internal stakeholders and external counsel in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Develops action plans for litigated claims, evaluates insurance coverage, and attends mediation and trial
- Oversees legal defense strategies, retains outside counsel, and monitors compliance with litigation management guidelines
- Investigates pre-suit claims, negotiates settlements, and prepares claims reports for leadership and stakeholders
Required qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) required; California license preferred
- Five years of progressively responsible claim management experience
- Strong knowledge of laws related to professional and general liability litigation
- Ability to analyze complex legal problems and develop effective solutions
- Experience in reviewing medical records and conducting effective negotiations
