Job Summary
A company is looking for a Claims Examiner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and process complex workers' compensation claims to determine exposure and manage claims to resolution
- Negotiate settlements and manage claim reserves throughout the claim's lifecycle
- Prepare necessary state filings and manage the litigation process for timely claims resolution
Required Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Five years of claims management experience or equivalent education and experience
- Professional certification in applicable line of business preferred
- Knowledge of insurance principles and laws relevant to claims management
- Experience with cost containment techniques and claims recovery processes
