Job Summary
To support a growing team, the contract California Licensed Claims Examiner will analyze complex workers' compensation claims, manage litigation processes, and ensure timely claim resolutions while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Analyze and process complex workers' compensation claims to determine benefits due and manage claims to resolution
- Calculate and assign reserves, ensuring adequacy throughout the claim's lifecycle and making timely claim payments
- Manage the litigation process and coordinate vendor referrals for additional investigation or litigation management
Required qualifications
- California Indemnity and Litigated Workers Compensation experience
- Self-Insured Plans certification
- Ability to work remotely while being located in California, preferably near Roseville or Long Beach
- Experience with claims recovery processes, including subrogation and Social Security offsets
- Knowledge of state filing requirements and statutory limits for claims
