California Licensed Claims Examiner

Job Summary

To support a growing team, the contract California Licensed Claims Examiner will analyze complex workers' compensation claims, manage litigation processes, and ensure timely claim resolutions while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and process complex workers' compensation claims to determine benefits due and manage claims to resolution
• Calculate and assign reserves, ensuring adequacy throughout the claim's lifecycle and making timely claim payments
• Manage the litigation process and coordinate vendor referrals for additional investigation or litigation management

Required qualifications

• California Indemnity and Litigated Workers Compensation experience
• Self-Insured Plans certification
• Ability to work remotely while being located in California, preferably near Roseville or Long Beach
• Experience with claims recovery processes, including subrogation and Social Security offsets
• Knowledge of state filing requirements and statutory limits for claims
