Job Summary
Managing a workload of Short-Term Disability claims, the full-time California Licensed Claims Specialist will conduct interviews, review medical records, and make timely claim determinations while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Communicate with claimants, employers, and medical professionals to gather information regarding claims
- Collaborate with case managers and physicians to ensure appropriate and timely claim determinations
- Review complex medical records and perform accurate financial calculations in line with company and state guidelines
Required qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- 1-2 years of experience in claims, leaves, or customer service
- Experience with disability and/or absence management claims
- Strong mathematical skills for payment calculations
