Job Summary

Managing a workload of Short-Term Disability claims, the full-time California Licensed Claims Specialist will conduct interviews, review medical records, and make timely claim determinations while working remotely.

Key responsibilities
  • Communicate with claimants, employers, and medical professionals to gather information regarding claims
  • Collaborate with case managers and physicians to ensure appropriate and timely claim determinations
  • Review complex medical records and perform accurate financial calculations in line with company and state guidelines
Required qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED
  • 1-2 years of experience in claims, leaves, or customer service
  • Experience with disability and/or absence management claims
  • Strong mathematical skills for payment calculations
