Job Summary
To ensure medical accuracy and compliance, the full-time Clinical Quality Assurance Nurse Auditor will review clinical reports, medical record chronologies, and billing reviews remotely, requiring an active RN license and ICU experience.
Key responsibilities
- Review and refine medical reports and provider bills for clinical accuracy and professional presentation
- Verify clinical determinations are supported by current citations from reputable medical journals
- Collaborate with reviewing physicians to clarify complex case details and resolve inconsistencies
Required qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Bachelor's or Associate degree in nursing or related field, or equivalent experience
- Strong clinical judgment with experience in medical terminology and treatment protocols
- Familiarity with state and federal healthcare mandates, including ERISA
- Experience in the insurance industry is preferred
