Job Summary

A company is looking for a Clinical Document Improvement Specialist.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review medical records to enhance the quality and completeness of clinical documentation
  • Collaborate with clinicians to ensure accurate clinical information in medical records
  • Provide training and guidance to coding staff regarding clinical severity and documentation standards
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
  • 3 years of experience in coding, preferably in an academic setting
  • Exceptional coding skills with extensive experience in ICD10
  • Pediatric experience preferred
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Current state licensure as a coding specialist, registered health information administrator, or registered health information technologist
