Job Summary
A company is looking for a Clinical Document Improvement Specialist.
Key Responsibilities
- Review medical records to enhance the quality and completeness of clinical documentation
- Collaborate with clinicians to ensure accurate clinical information in medical records
- Provide training and guidance to coding staff regarding clinical severity and documentation standards
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
- 3 years of experience in coding, preferably in an academic setting
- Exceptional coding skills with extensive experience in ICD10
- Pediatric experience preferred
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Current state licensure as a coding specialist, registered health information administrator, or registered health information technologist
